Recitals at St James’s Church
The 2026 season of Saturday recitals begins on Saturday 9 May. Recitals start at 12 noon and last around 45 minutes. Coffee is served before, and a light lunch after. Tickets are free and available at the door. Donations support the musical life and ministry of St James's Church.
The opening concert of the season is an organ recital given by St James's new Director of Music, Robert Dixon.

Holsworthy Church Bells – Samuel Sebastian Wesley (1810-1876)
Carillon de Westminster from Pieces de Fantaisie Op. 54 No. 6 – Louis Vierne (1870-1937)
Meditation from Laudate Dominum – Peter Hurford (1930-2019)
Finale – Rachel Laurin (1961-2023)

Performance Opportunity
Would you like to perform as part of our well established weekly Recital series, in our beautiful Church, which has provided a place of peace for worship and prayer for over 700 years? St James's Church is set back from the High Street in Bushey, behind a village green and pond, a wonderful setting for our weekly concert series and we would be delighted to welcome you to give a Recital as part of our series.
If you would like to take part, please contact the Parish Office office@busheyparish.org with a selection of two or three dates, together with a short biography and some idea of your programme, or at this stage a composer list would suffice, for publicity purposes.
