Generous Giving

If you're in a position to join the Parish Giving Scheme, or to raise the level of your current giving, now more than ever would be a brilliant time to join, or to make an increase.

Our Churches were already in a serious financial position and the Coronavirus has real implications for our survival as a parish.  We have made some drastic cost savings but income from hall lettings has disappeared, there have been no Recitals or other fund-raising activities.

Thankfully many of our congregation do give regularly via the Parish Giving Scheme or via the separate church CMFs; we are so grateful for your support such that we have been able to provide services and other activities online which have been taken up by many people in Bushey and further afield.

If you have enjoyed the online services etc, please read on. We have two ways of giving, for both one-off online donations, and those who want to give regularly.

1) Online Donation – JustGiving

2) Regular Giving – The Parish Giving Scheme

It has never been easier to use the Parish Giving Scheme. If you ring 0333 002 1271 (Monday to Friday 9-5) and say you would like to join and make either a monthly or one-off gift to the Parish of Bushey, quoting the reference number 320632007, it can all be set up in under ten minutes. They can also alter the amount of existing regular gifts and if you pay tax, we can claim that back as an extra at no cost to you.  More information can be found on their internet site and you can join by sending a form by post if you don’t want to phone them.

If you want to remain anonymous that is fine, nobody in the Parish will know your donation arrangements.  Alternatively, if you use online banking and could make a one-off donation, the easiest method is by BACS transfer to the Parish Account (Number 78501986 & sort code 090154 in the name Bushey Parochial Church Council) putting donation as the reference. More information on the Parish Giving Scheme can be found here.

Our financial generosity to the church is a key part of our Christian commitment.  Many people are re-examining their priorities in life at this moment.  If you believe that the church is an important witness to the love of God in these difficult times, please be generous, and no more generous, than you feel able.  We do understand that many individuals may be going through financial uncertainty as a result of lost or changed employment during the restrictions.  Thank you for all you are and will do to continue to support our church.  Together we can continue to love and care for all who live in our parish.

Many, many thanks to all who give with such generosity already. To those who don't, but could - please think, pray and act!
