Welcome to Bushey Parish, serving the community,
worshipping God and celebrating the diversity of the Church of England.
The Parish is formed of the churches of St James, St Paul and Holy Trinity. We are an outward-looking inclusive community which is part of the Diocese of St Albans and the world-wide Anglican Communion. People have worshipped God at St. James’s for over 700 years and, as the community has grown and developed, the churches of St. Paul and Holy Trinity were added in the 20th Century. Here we rejoice in God’s all-embracing love and everyone is warmly welcome at all our services and activities.
Our main act of worship in each of our churches is the Sunday Eucharist and afterwards there is an opportunity to meet one another over refreshments. There is a daily eucharist (except Fridays). At other times there are services ranging from Prayer Book Choral Evensong or Benediction, to a reflective Taize service or charismatic worship. On Holy Days there may be a Solemn Eucharist (High Mass) and most days St. James's Church is open for personal prayer and reflection as well as the Daily Offices of Morning and Evening Prayer. We aim to be an inclusive community worshipping and celebrating Jesus in all the colours of the liturgical rainbow!
We look forward to welcoming you and may God bless you.
